My progress...

FM has been a big part of my journey. So I wanted to show my appreciation by showing my progress.

I started about three years ago when my son was about 1 year. He was the only reason I started taking pictures.

Just like many here, I started collecting gears and obsessing about lens sharpness. It\'s all about fast glass, L glass or prime to achieve maximum sharpness. I mostly hung out at the Canon forum or Buy and Sell forum. I can type the Canon board or Buy and Sell board\'s URL in my sleep ... http://fredmiranda/forum/board/2 for Canon and The Buy and Sell forum is forum no.10 -- so it will be http://fredmiranda/forum/board/10

Anyways, these pictures were basically it. I took it with the widest aperture and the longest lens I had. I love these pictures, because of three things: the subject is my son, the moment was right and the bokeh. But again, I think it\'s more of the lens doing its job than my skill.

One thing I have been learning recently and getting a better understanding is: photography is about light. One has to know how to read the light. Some of you have said this long ago. But I guess I have to experience it to believe it.

So I have gone from fully using natural light to using the best light possible. I learn how to use my flash. So here are some I took with flash using shoot-trough umbrella, tell me what do you think.
