Update, I\'ve just checked my main retailer and the release price will be € 2350,-
Assuming that it has the normal Canon new release premium (see 50D at first pre-release € 1350,- now € 1175,- compared to a € 745,- 40D and € 1499,-) I think chances are pretty good that it will drop to under € 2k within 6 months, especially with cash back.
Under 2k I will start to sweat
Pricing might also hint at another intermediary body though, like a \"3D\" with more 1Dxxx features (especially AF).
If the high ISO is good and the IQ better than the original 5D I think Canon will score a big hit with this one.
(let me check my funds again...no never again I pre-order Canon gear! No repeat 100 times my 5D still serves me as well as before the MkII )
