 Canon R8 for weddings... | |
We recently used the R8 for a wedding in addition to our R6's. So, basically, a b/u to our b/u's. This camera was fun to use and significantly lighter for all day use. We shot from 1/60th to 1/8000th from f/5.6 to f/1.2, with ISO's up to 6400 with good results with the electronic front curtain. We hardly ever need fast fps, but go full electronic and you get top out at 40fps. One caveat is the placement of the stills/video button. It's right where the R6's on/off is. An odd design feature of the R8, but at least looking through the viewfinder, it's obvious you're in video mode. Great camera for a b/u or just one to use for play when not shooting a wedding!
