I shoot similar stuff and have the same two bodies as well. It has always felt like the X-T4 just can't compare with the A7IV on all levels, from resolution to IQ to DR to AF-C.
What exactly did you find appealing about the X-T4 (or Fuji APS-C) for people photos? Why wouldn't you use just the A7IV or main two Sony FFs?
