Pixel peeping is probably why we have obscene planned obsolescence waste in the digital camera industry. What more do photographers expect a camera to do? I pixel peeped too, but it was pointless in that most every digital camera produces incredibly sharp photos. How much more do photographers expect from a digital camera? We shoot weddings and editorial with a 20mp camera after shooting with Hasselblad, Nikon and Sony. If shooting large, displayed art gallery photos that are feet across, try using a pano tripod and stitch. I'm so grateful to incorporate film into our workflow. It greatly reduces the cognitive dissonance and allows us to be more creative and deliberate with our photography.
