I cannot say if noise is worse in my Z8 vs my D850 (or D500). It seems about the same to me and if I have noise I just use software to denoise

I shoot in direct low light, rain, snow, fog or overcast....never in midday sun. Have not. yet learned astrophotography but am fascinated by the heavens and what I know is out there.

*There is one sure way I can be certain to have no noise in my images.... *direct low light*.* Other than that, there will be noise and I will use denoising software.

I do not use LR so I cannot comment on it. I always convert NEFs thru DXO and I sometimes use Topaz Ai.

One sure way I can be certain there is no noise is to shoot in the direct, low the light. Other than that, there will be noise and I will use denoting software.
