It’s always funny reading opinions of people who struggle to use their cameras at half of their capabilities, and who can’t see any value of new features, even if those are fringe and niche at first. It makes it very easy to tell whose opinion is fairly worthless.
In this case, a new methodology of sensor read out is not the end of all, be all of cameras 10 years from now. However, it will likely be a standard if iteration happens quickly and substantially and delivers value to the masses in some way.
When combined with new computing architecture and AI supplementation, a camera 10 years from now may be something completely different from anything any of us are thinking of at the moment.
