Voigtlander 50/2 APO Lanthar infinity stop question

I noticed on the Z mount version of this lens that the hard infinity stop is actually a bit past the infinity symbol by design. At optical infinity, exact spot-on focus occurs where the index line perfectly aligns at the center of the infinity symbol. It's a little bit of a nuisance since the hard stop endpoint goes beyond infinity. Does anyone know why it was done this way? Is it a thermal shift issue (common in much longer apo corrected teles) if the lens heats up? I doubt it because the M version of this lens doesn't go the past infinity symbol.
