I would love an internal zoom RF70-200F2.8. Tried the current one fro a while and couldn't stand it. The horrible long throw zooming ring makes the lens nearly useless for close in fast action where you have to zoom quickly for framing. It is impossible to zoom the current lens as quickly as the older EF zoom with internal focus or any the competitions IF versions.I understand for some that's not an issue for there shooting style. Being compact is nice but means nothing if you miss critical shots. I don't consider that design innovative at all. The original version of the EF100-400mm with the push pull zoom was the fastest most intuitive zoom ever. The ease of zooming without messing up your composition or loosing your subject was unrivaled. For now I've gone back to the EF70-200F2.8 mk2 version for now.
