 Newly dispersed Grizzly Cubs - Kananakis | |
Last night I went out to get a better picture of the female from the night before. I did not find her and it was pouring rain.
The first set is a pair of older cubs (2nd year?) dispersed by their mother. Usually they get rid of them after 2nd den to mate in June.[I removed the collar in photoshop]
The 2nd set is a pair of younger cubs (they look dangerously young). Don't know if their mother was early or lost. They look good and there is new berries. But I am thinking the male bears will kill them soon. They don't look like they are big enough to run fast enough but fingers crossed for them. The pictures were in intense rain from big distance. It was raining hard when I found them so heroic high iso shots.
