I loved my 1D Mark IVs and agree with most of the other comments. If 16 Mpx is enough for your needs, then it would be a good value for the price right now.
One tip I can pass on if you use an Adobe workflow: Consider using the Adobe Color profile in lieu of the Camera Standard profile when processing your RAW files. This is one of the rare Canon cameras where I find that Adobe's color science works better.
Noise can be excessive above ISO 3200. And if you have to push shadows much you can see some ugly color splotching. But I imagine that DXO PureRAW would help with these files. This wasn't really an option back day for us.
On the other hand on the other hand, highlight recovery was very good with these cameras and I used to love the files I got when shooting in bright sun.
