But that lens has a different optical design, with three aspherical elements and three UD elements. The 1200 is to have two large fluorite elements, one Super UD element, and a single UD glass element. The lens design schematic was not included in the leak, but details in the release show materials used require a different design.

They are incorrect....the RF 600 has the same single Super UD element and 2 Fluorite elements. Not sure about the single UD glass element but I think that is the front element for both.
My guess is everything ahead of the two black hash lines will be the same....the rear is where they will differ.
