a7iii + 200-600 BIF techniques - questions | |
Today I drove 3 hours to whitewater draw wild life refuge site in AZ (3 hours from phoenix).
First time trying out the A7iii + 200-600G Lens (nothing wrong with the lens I know that, operator error and techniques).
Frustrating stuff:
Low light ISO is crazy ugly to clean up even with Topaz (6400 ISO).
The steady shot modes (1,2,3) - I just could not get a hang of it.
shutter vs aperture (low light) vs manual especially for this lens and BIF is just causing me split headache.
For a minute, I thought I nailed it with AF lock ON and AFC - Boy I was in for surprise.
One of the hawk pictures would have been one of the coolest pictures, but man... again focus / I was in mode 2 when the bird was coming towards me (very swift).
I also realized that the RAW was set to uncompressed (landscape settings sighs!!!)
Obviously a lot of learning I need to do. Any tips / good techniques tutorials for BIF/ low light within the boundaries of 200 - 600 G lens is much appreciated.
Picture is just for attention - not sure if it is a gyrfalcon or northern harrier.
I can post other pictures to show the crazy noise at 6400. I am kinda lost.
