Not an easy answer to your question. The easy answer would be, it depends  . It depends on the lighting conditions, the distance from you to where the action is at, whether it is a fast paced action or more perching, etc. Just to name a few here, and those factors change rapidly, even within the same location, depending on the time of the day, among others.
With that said, I am not a Nikon user and I don't know how well the current Nikon lenses work, AF-wise, on the Z line camera. At this point, Nikon doesn't have any lenses for their mirrorless cameras.... yet. In general, however, mirrorless is the way of the future and DSLRs seem to have seen their better days.
