Snowy Owl Hunts In the Rain

I never did share this sequence from 5 years ago. It was pouring rain in March 2014 on a local farm which housed several snowy owls for the winter since November 2013. I would park near a favorite post perch and shoot from my vehicle, using it as a blind. This snowy owl launched from his favorite post perch at an attempt to capturing a vole, which he did successfully. Unfortunately, my 1D mark IV suffered buffer overload from the burst of shots leading up to shot 8... then he flipped and gulped down a vole which I was unable to capture. My camera didn't recover fast enough to shoot again until he landed back on his favorite perch.
