Milky Way shot, feedback?

Aloha, first time posting an image here.

It seems like so much of processing astro is ‘to taste’, but then again i know things are supposed to be certain colors, etc. I’ve been reading up on it all for days but it’s a lot to digest. Thoughts on the processing of this one? Shot from Haleakala on Maui looking across at the Big Island. The orange is from the lava flow, and I believe(?) much of the low sky color is from vog. Quarter moon was setting behind me.

A7rIII, 16-35
Stars: (12) images stacked, 15s @ f2.8, ISO 1600.
Foreground: (4) images stacked. 30s @ f2.8, ISO 1600.

Minimal adjustments in LR
Stars stacked in Starry Landscape Stacker
Stars edited in LR
Foreground stacked in PS
Foreground edited in LR
Combined in PS

My ultimate goal is a very clean 8’ print, with naturally lit looking foregrounds. Will be moving into panos with the 50 1.4, but starting here with a single stack to get the hang of it first.

Some questions for the experts:

I picked up a tracker, I assume longer exposures with tracking will reduce snr and result in less noise?

How many images do you use in a stack for minimal/eliminated noise?

I tried processing a pano (114 images iirc, 4 rows of 6 plus foreground exposures) and between all the stacking and etc I hit the 4gb ps file size cap. Any tips to control file size but keep ultimate quality?

Any techniques or tips on reducing/eliminating noise or pulling out more accurate color?

Thanks so much!

Lyle
