I have attached a couple of quick snaps (poor flash work, but I am headed out for the day and wanted to reply quickly).
I bought this plate used, so I never had it on an A9 myself and can't comment on how it fits that body.
On my A7rIII, the L-bracket 'splits' the access windows so that access is still possible, although it takes a tiny bit of effort to do so. But I have not run in to any cable use concerns.
I find the battery compartment just fine. Easy to get the battery in and out.
In the photo you may notice I have a silicone protective case on the body as well. Adding the bracket over it worked fine.
