There is no CA that I can find. I ran two tests that every lens it shows up in except for the Sigma 135 and the Sony 50 1.4. Every other lens it's a guarantee to show up. So answer is I can't find any CA

This lens is damn impressive for sure.

yes, it was your shots that showed how 'clean' the lens is and Joshua's where i managed to look past the women (it was hard, but somehow i persevered) to see the super-smooth backgrounds that made me think the Sigma could actually be a mate for the 50/1.4 - one of the attractions to the Batis (besides size/weight) was it's APO designation - but this Sigma is super 'clean'.

i could probably live w/o an 85 as long as i had something that could do the "smooth" and so far i have to say i'm really surprised that i'm even considering keeping this Sigma (although as i said, it was a distinct possibility otherwise i would not have ordered it). when i shot Nikon, i was in the process of switching over to Sigma already.

so the Sigma might be on par with the Batis for "APO" (TBD) and nearly as smooth (but not quite) as the 85GM.
then, it just becomes a matter of size/weight (as far as knocks against the Sigma) and the Batis potential knocks would be aperture (need to determine if i can live w/o f/1.8) and possible swirly (to what extent does it exist and under what conditions).
