Unfortunately, this is a known issue. At least on A7RII bodies (and perhaps others?). In fact, I first discovered this shooting in your city - Yellowknife!  It was very cold though - around -46C. After shooting for a bit, the internal battery would die and cause the camera to reset everything. Very annoying to say the least. Although I routinely shoot in -15-20C and haven\'t really had this issue (yet). Anything below -20 it would happen very often. I even tried having around 6 hand warmer packs strapped all around the body. No real cure that I know of but this winter I am going to hook up an external battery pack to see if that helps. Let us know how you make out....
