 Wonderful Afternoon with the Snowy Egrets | |
It has been almost 2 months since I have been able to get out to the Bonne Carre Spillway. It was true joy to be out with the snowies today. I witnessed some fishing behavior I had not seen from them before. They were flying low over the water trying to catch small shad . Quite entertaining . Unfortunately my 500mm was not long enough for any really decent shots of the fishing as they were too far from me . However, I did manage a few in-flights in the gorgeous afternoon setting light. Still, not as close I as would have liked, but still lots of fun.
