I love single exposures for star trails, especially with long exposure noise reduction becoming what it is today. Although I doubt you even needed that on the A7S sensor, especially if it was cool enough.

I know it\'s just as easy to rattle off a sequence of 30 sec exposures and layer them together, but there\'s something satisfying about clicking one single shot and seeing *exactly* your creative vision on the back of the camera. It\'s difficult to explain to some folks who are gung-ho about \"RAW capture, anything goes in post-production\" ...however as someone who got started in the film days, I feel like picking your in-camera settings, including everything from Picture Styles to lens and exposure settings, is a rewarding throwback to the days when we had to \"commit\" to using Velvia 50, or Provia 400, or whatever it was we needed to \"get the job done\"...

Fantastic image; I\'m totally going to borrow this concept of \"jump to light speed\" visual effect with the motion of the stars...
