As far as etiquette, I think you did the polite thing and it worked out, you got great images.

The other person seems to have a personal problem (based on your account) in that he wanted to own the beach, not you. The fact that he came into your frame & then responded negatively, he is the one etiquette-challenged.

When I\'m entering an area with other photographers I ALWAYS as if it\'s OK & am I in \"your\" frame. The fact that this person didn\'t says a lot about their character.

Now I guess it\'s possible for \"Photography Rage\" to be a reality.

I have had this happen to me twice but did have the time to move between areas while the assxxxx left.
