Apparently, this is an older model that was superseded by the Kirk BL-MARK4. The MARK4 works for both Mark III and Mark IV, but there is no mention that the BL-MARK3 works for the Mark IV and I'm inclined to THINK NOT (otherwise, why supersede?). Therefore, do not buy this for the 1D Mark IV unless you know for a fact that it will work. Please don't gamble on it.
