When we pay $2000+, is it all that unreasonable to ask for something more than a 7-year old, inept, single-point AF system .
Well... Switch brands then. Go to Nikon and find out what problems there are on that side..
Canon gave one focus point which (reportedly) is incredible. Nikon gave a lot more which (reportedly) aren\'t.
Choose which you want. Just don\'t assume the grass is always greener.
