MAP has been a fact or life in USA retail for a long time, before the dawn of internet commerce. Most of the pressure for MAP comes from dealers, not the manufacturers or distributors. I\'ve listed guitars on our company\'s website slightly below MAP and other dealers actually complain to the distributor! And this stock was bought before a list price increase so I didn\'t bother to bump up the MAP. I don\'t think manufacturers or distributors give a rat\'s arse about anything other than moving product and MAP is merely a way of keeping their dealer network happy.
