Sunrise and sunset are not a big part of the Zion experience for me. The canyon is deep and you don\'t get much view of the early glow. I have hiked to Angel\'s Landing for the sunrise and had to start the tall hike real early. Another hike to the rim would be Observation Point (starts at Weeping Rock). And, the high country beyond the tunnel is fabulous easily in the day when the light is soft and it\'s not crowded. A zillion photo ops there.
