A couple years ago I made some kind of light box, but never had any success using it with my 2.1Mp S100. I took it out tonight and gave it a nother try with my D Rebel.

Just any 100W household bulb.
Custom WB is my friend.

so you just have a plain household bulb. behing the middle wall. And what is the backrousn made of. I think i may make a box similare to yours

There's not too much to describe.
-went to home depot and bought a large piece of white material (ceiling tiles here). Also bought some 90degree brackets, flat washers and bolts to hold the corners together.
-used a saw to cut the material into 5 pieces
-assemble into a box with one open face
-cut a square out of one of the side pieces to be the front
-use long bolts to set this square cutout piece a few inches back from the outer wall
-stick a light in the box

That's about it.
