The broken rose is a symbol of love and life, and the bottle/drugs are instigators of so much of what I see. A couple of tools of my trade and things that I have learned in my 20 yrs. of doing this. Ordinary peoples lives like yours and mine change for the worst daily, and no matter how bad your day is there is someone out there who's day is much worst. Hug the people you love often and tell them that you love them ( esp. children). Don't let your 2-3 yr. old ride on laps on riding lawn mowers -even with grandparents. Watch children around stoves and cars and most every where else. Respect saws and fireworks. Don't ride motorcycles - even if you are a good defensive driver (no one else is!). Don't drink and drive - a large amt. of accidents I have seen are the results the results of alcohol/drugs. In photography like life, your best memories may lay behind you so look around and smell the roses.

Most part I agree with what you are saying and your photo makes you think and is a reminder of what happens and thanks for sharing, I do believe that your statement has everyone at heart, but I see nothing wrong with riding a motorcycle or a car or a buggy , I've done it all my life, life has its rewards and its hardships but one should live life not be afraid of it. thanks again for sharing, good luck this month.

Klaus - Thanks for the comments
Norm - There is nothing wrong with doing whatever you want, as long as it doesn't hurt someone else. I don't understand it but we're all different. Some payments I am not willing to pay, if I have an easy choice. You should live life, not be afraid of it's loss, but we all walk a line -riding motorcycles isn't a line I'll do - got many friends that do though (still good people, good hearts, but they keep their brains in a bucket. ). I hope this post shows how fragile we are so love good, love often and always let the people you love know it. Thanks for commenting, I told you coming in it was preachy - truth in advertising. good luck everyone. Rick

I hope you didn't take me wrong and I don't mind the preachy part either Im glad there are allot of people out there who care and say what they feel I just wanted to point out that risk is around everything one does and we all feel bad when someone looses life, I tell my children and friends everyday how much l Love them, and yes I love to nit pick sometimes but that's me being 62 I always speak my peace. Good luck to you also

Norm
