A 2 year old dog that weighs 80-90 lbs. CRAZY!

The biggest problem taking pics of this dog was stopping him from playing and licking so much.

Anyway, Mike wanted pics with the DAWG.

interesting set! i particularly like #3.

funny thing about rotties. i was always a bit intimidated by them, but never really spent any time around them. turns out that the family that watches my youngest child has a rott. it is the calmest, most docile animal i've ever been around. so much so, that we are considering getting one!

one of my good friends has one and it is really really smart and incredibly gentle. Looks freaking real scary but if trained correctly it will be your b*tch you know! Really great around kids and a guaranteed break in deterrent!

I had one until a few years ago. Yes, they are very smart and very gentle around kids. At the same time they can also be very protective of those they consider their masters. They're not the type of dogs that would watch you get beat up for sure.

I'm on my third Rott. Key is to find a reputable breeder that breeds for confirmation and temperament. You don't want one that promotes how tough their dogs are. They are naturally and you don't want messed up genes. You'll pay more but in the end, it's more than worth it. They are an alpha dog, so firm consistent training is key. Once they understand you're the boss they're fine from then on. They are a ball as pups, full of energy.

Nice shots, and 80-90 at 2 isn't all that big. Had a Cane Corso that hit 150lb at 18mo, talk about intimidating.
