Dear Guys

I am using DPP for my RAw conversion. All of a sudden the crop tool stopped fuctioning. other tools in DPP is normal and when I click the crop tool my PC get struck up and I have close the application. I am using Window XP Prof . I have removed all my canon software and reinstalled. No relief. What is wrong? I think I have to change the PC ;((

Have you installed or updated any software recently that might be causing a conflict with DPP?

Other than suggesting that you download the latest version of DPP, I don't have any idea what's wrong or how to fix it.

Update the driver for your video card, this fixes many seemingly unrelated problems.

Otherwise, it might take a lot of troubleshooting.

Also, if memory serves me, in the newest few releases, there is a "direct to trim/angle adjust" icon that goes from the main preview screen, immediately to the trim/angle menu, without opening up the intermediate editing window. On my ancient rig (2002) this can save a bit of time

+1. This could very well be the cause. Also make sure to use the latest version of DPP. As a general rule, I would make sure to applied all the available updates and service packs from Windows Update as well.

If none of these seems likely causes, then I might suspect some recently installed software or drivers. You can use System Restore to restore the software on your PC to an earlier state without affecting your data.
