Candids are tough with this lens because it is so big!
That's what she said
Nah, I use it in brewpubs/events all the time. Arm at side, whip it up and fire before they know what hit 'em.
It's a real conversation starter if ya get busted, opens lots of "doors", and chicks dig it. Really no downside to me...
at least in my part of the old West.

Thanks Carten, I actually traded my Nikkor 200 2.0 IF-ED AIS for my Nikkor 45 2.8 ED PC -E .
And as it happens the guy I traded it to, sold it to a good buddy of mine
It's a small planet. Clearly, I miss the lens and when finaces allow I intend of getting another one.
It's interesting that one of the reasons I traded the lens was I really wanted a Nikkor 45 2.8 ED PC-E and the aperture was broken on the Nikkor 200 2.0 IF-ED AIS. A fact I full disclosed to the person I traded it to. Anyway, my pal who ended up with the lens sent it in Nikon and they fixed /replaced the aperture and it's good for another 25 years.

Good god, the 200/2VR is a big lens, but it looks like a pancake compared to that 300/2 Don't ever sell that beast. Unless to me But not yet, I am broke.

I meant aperture, not aperture ring. I do own the 200/2VR, but it is just that if I didn't use the lens at f/2 much of the time, I could have saved 5 Euro and 2kg and bought the Leica 180/2.8 APO
