I don't understand your shot but I don't always understand what others are saying with their photo so I cannot make a comment .

It's the tip of a leaf of a bird of paradise flower. One of the things which I like macro so much is that it enables you to create abstracts. The downside is, of course, is that you sometimes need to explain this.....

Hi, Yakim, my friend! I like this and knew instantly what it is. Of course, one has to live in a place where these grow. Bird of Paradise lowers are particularly difficult to find new and interesting angles to shoot them from. So, this makes a very nice abstract.

I got this one right away. I like the control of focus and color which generated a very nice abstract. It is also nice that it almost looks like a birds beak, that with it being a bird of paradise...

If abstract = unrecognizable, then it worked on me! Interesting to say the least. I think it would look better with a frame though....

Endre, my dear friend, I'd be very surprised if a flower expert like you wouldn't recognize this.

My problem was not to find it, but to combat the wind which moved it. You need high SS to combat this but you also need to close the shutter for sufficient DoF (f/8 in this case), and you also don't want to raise the ISO too much as noise would creep in. Decisions... Decisions...
