I saw very few threads about this camera on this board so i thought i would post something. I just picked this camera up to go with some of my other cameras and have to say i am blown away with the quality. The lense and sensor is amazing. The images out of this camera have a very different look compared to other cameras i own. They look very film like. I assume its the difference in the sensor. They almost have a 3d appearance to them, a depth that I have seen so little in my other images. I have only had it a couple days and have not shot that much with it. Just realized I cant post pictures here till I figure out how to subscribe.

I love my DP2s, very high quality camera and images

yeah truly amazing camera. Seems to have a ton of DR and the BW conversions look great too

Foveons are great at lower ISOs. I've never been able to get anything decent (in color) out of a DP2 at ISO800. I also loved the DP2 lens.

For those who have had a DP2 and a DP2s, how much better is the focusing and responsiveness?

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't there a recent firmware update a few months back that significantly narrowed the gap between the DP2 and DP2s focusing speed ?

I wouldn't now since I returned my DP2 because of constant freeze-ups and horrible responsiveness.
