to Mawz, is your A 33 very slow in moving from taking one imge to the next image, I have to wait awaile before the camera will take the second image. I am not sure if the problem has become worse in the 2 months I have owned the camera, but I think so. I am using a CZ 16-80 lens with the A33. I wonder if I have tripped a setting/menu item that I am not familiar with?? thank you joanlvh

My A33 did not do that. Is it possible that you enabled the feature which lets you see the image after the shot is taken?

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

Actually, it looks like LensBaby quietly updated their tilt transformer to work on NEX as well as m4/3. http://www.lensbaby.com/tilt-transformer.php

I'm starting to regret my 90/2.8 PC and 24/3.5 II purchases. I could have almost the same results with a lot less money.

Of course, the catch is you have to use Nikon glass with it.

What catch? There are plenty of MF Nikkors in a very reasonable prices.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

Appreciate the information, it seems as though there were several "Tilt" adapters which I missed, but so far no "Shift" adapter, which is what I am looking for to use with my 18mm or 19mm, which would equate to a 28mm Shift lens on FF.

The fact that there are some Tilt adapters out there is good news, as more of these cameras get in circulation, surely someone will come out with a Shift adapter.

Thanks!

Fotodiox sells shift adapters for m4/3.

You may write to them and see if they are already working on Sony NEX. Mention us, too, because we conurus are looking at various electronic mount communication protocols. Combining the best mechanicals with the best electronics will lead to the most exciting new adapters.

The great thing is that you can mount some older, Nikon shift lenses onto the tilt adapter, and then you have tilt and shift for a low price.

Is anybody familiar with these ebay adapters? I wonder if they truly are tilt and shift. Would the dial be used for tilt and the screw for shift?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Tilt-Shift-Adapter-Canon-EOS-lens-Sony-E-NEX-5-NEX-3-BLACK-/290608244018?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43a999e532

It says "tilt and shift" in the title, but doesn't make mention of shift in the description except for "8 degree shift"

When using Canon EOS lenses, you can only shoot with max. aperture of your lens.

I'd say that this will pose a slight problem....

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

True, but there is always the opportunity to stack on an OM-EOS adapter (or other manual lens).

The Kipon adapter works really well. I have the Nikon mount. The only drawback is that it's a loose adjustment and you have to put it back to 0 tilt by eye.

Having it's own tripod mount makes all the difference.

Just stay away from the Canon FD mount as it uses an optical element which creates a pronounced halo in the centre regardless of lighting conditions.

The lensbaby transformer looks really impressive.

But really not sure it's worth 3 times the price of the Kiron that does the same thing. I have the Kiron and it works fine. Do wish, however, someone would make an adapter that does tilt AND shift, not just one or the other.
