As the Adapters for most Manual Focus SLR Lenses to the Sony E-Mount are rather thick, it is surprising to me that no one has come out with a Tilt/Shift adapter for the Sony yet. There seems to be more than enough space for at least a Shift movement on most of the adapters I have purchased, Tilt would be an additional benefit or could be a seperate adapter.

I have a couple 18mm lenses that would make great Shift Lenses for my Nex-5, and have used my 80mm T/S in Tilt mode with excellent results.

Just wondering if anyone has seen a Nikon/Leica/CanonFD to Sony E-Mount Tilt/Shift adapter?

"Yes there are some that come in A-Mount.. Arax used to be a reasonable budget option but since being bought out has become quite expensive. Schneider is probably the best but again very expensive."

Appreciate the information, it seems as though there were several "Tilt" adapters which I missed, but so far no "Shift" adapter, which is what I am looking for to use with my 18mm or 19mm, which would equate to a 28mm Shift lens on FF.

The fact that there are some Tilt adapters out there is good news, as more of these cameras get in circulation, surely someone will come out with a Shift adapter.

Not what you asked but you might find this useful. Otherwise, mnscott suggestion seems to me like the best way to go if you can't find exactly what you are looking for.

The adapter is actually a "Kipon", but looks well made and worth the price. The tripod socket is a useful addition to the adapter. But that Noct-Nikkor on the link looks really nice on the Nex!

Actually, it looks like LensBaby quietly updated their tilt transformer to work on NEX as well as m4/3. http://www.lensbaby.com/tilt-transformer.php

Of course, the catch is you have to use Nikon glass with it.

The lensbaby transformer looks really impressive. I was about to order one now for my Nikon to discover this is for sony nex and m4/3 only. Enlighten me why? :/

because those are the only cameras with a short enough registration distance to make it work.

Sony NEX and m4/3 do not have a reflex mirror between the lens and the sensor, so there is a lot of space for a big adapter. On DSLR's, adapters can only be a few mm thick.

Yep, same here (even for the 1st party glass on the same mount).

My standard setup is a Minolta 24/2.8 on my A33 and a Sony 50/1.4 on my Maxxum 7. There's a Nikkor 5cm/1.4 on my Voigtlander Bessa R.

The only times I regularly match up camera & lens brand is my Mamiya kit and my OM-1.
