The semi-open box is intriguing but the general emptiness and the dirt underneath makes me feel a bit uncomfortable.

What Yakim said on the dirt. Kind of like it otherwise, but it just needs something to make it that bit more interesting, but not sure what.

Thanks for the comments. I was going for something thought provoking.

I tried some different shots with filling the emptiness. I also thought the dirt helped make my statement.

It's not an easy assignment for sure, and unless you are willing to go whimsical with highly blown out lighting, it's a roll of the dice......

But I understand your concept and it does bring back some memories of days long past....

Yes, I think the dirt does add to the general feel of a refrigerator that would have only these items in it. Interesting concept. Is that pizza box empty and the beer still full? -Jamie

I would leave the dirt in the image. I agree it's a bit desolate / uncomfortable - making one think of a lonely cranky bachelor with a drinking problem or something - but I think that's precisely the point, yes?
