Nice idea, but it looks as if the exposure is off. Sorry.

This is the unisphere in queens, right? I remember going there.

Nice shot, love the silhouette, it's very sharp, wonder if it would have been better with the sun breaking out on the side of the globe, but that's nit picking. Great idea.

The Unisphere in Flushing Meadows was built for the 1963 Worlds Fair and I was there

, in '63.

Shot with the TS-E24L and 1DsIII, the Sun caused flare on the next shot, that was as far as I could go.

hmm... with the variance in exposure, HDR would have been great here...

also, if you wanted to go for the silhouette... you could have exposed for the sky just a bit more...

Great shot. Personally, I'd crop a bit from the bottom. IMHO those spikes draw unwanted attention.
