Fred , welcome to macro. Good job on these considering the harsh shooting conditions. Try shooting from around 7-9 in the morning, and from 6 to 8 in the evening . to get the softer light. I know it is not always possible . Cloudy and overcast are good too. this info I'm sure you already know ,but just wanted to remind you.

Some nice pics, I just think they need cropping a little differently, mostly to lose some of the space above the insects. #3 could be wonderful with the law of thirds applied.

Welcome to the forum, Fred. Like #3 also...it could have used a little more room on the little bee's nose (like the skipper in the last frame) but that's a nitpick. Good exposures and the light looks good.
