Did an experiment yesterday after finding a dead bush cricket on the car boot. I placed it on the same flowerhead I had put the hoverfly on that got attacked the day before.
Within a minute a wasp found it and started stripping it.

Very interesting never saw a wasp eating cricket, good moment of nature.

It is Vespula vulgaris. The broken genal band (yellow band behind eye) is characteristic for this species. It is both a predator and a scavenger.
