Will try to make this my last blatantly favorable post extolling this combo. Went by Zilker Park botanical gardens in Austin TX this morning. They have a lovely lotus pond. EXIF should be intact.

A few critters, just to keep me honest.

#5 Seen this butterfly before but, for the life of me, can't think of its name...sorry for clipping the wing http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4081/4894818759_28e898dc80_o.jpg

Thanks for viewing.

Interesting. What kinda working distance do you get with the Telemore and the MP-E, I guess it changes depending on if you are at 1X or 5X but could you give me a ball park figure. I am also wondering if you have tried it on your 105 Nikon macro and what you think about that combo.

Lovely shots Kenny.
Now we just need an add-on to make the MPE-65 into a super telephoto lens and we have the entire range covered
Brian v.

Kenny hope you don't mind - I was playing with the MPE-65/TCon combo yesterday as well - reckon the last shots must be the first dragonfly in flight shots taken with an MPE-65

Nice shots Kenny! The butterfly is a Border Patch. We've had tons of them down here. I finally got one of those "bugs sitting on my finger" photos with one not long ago.

Thanks all for the comments, they are appreciated.

Brian, I agree with you about the DOF/focusing shenanigans. While there appears to more DOF than one might expect from the MP-E, there seems to be no clear point when things pop into sharp focus. I'm more or less guessing when to release the shutter...been lucky so far. Still, this does show promise and it sure beats lugging another lens around.

Made if down this far .
I just ordered 52mm , 55mm , 58 mm , 72mm and 77 mm - male to male adapters from 2 filters - I think . already have a m42 to 52mm one and a bunch of filter adapters
Anyone know the model number of Telemore II with screw threads ?
I will check with KEH after posting . If I can fine them KEH has a weird seach engine . I got my life size converter from them .
Great shots - really like the DOF .

Hi guys,
I hope I am not so late for this post.
I am new here.
I have Canon 70D body and MPE 65mm as lens.
I am so surprised after seeing with just a little modification you guys are able to make MPE to shot not Macro.
I am so new in Macro photography and I really like to learn a lot, but the first things comes to my mind was how to make my Macro lens work like simple lens and I find this topic.

Can anyone tell me what TC I need to buy? and what kind of adaptor I should use to connect it to front of my MPE?
Will YONGNUO YN-2.0XIII PRO 2x Teleconverter work in this regard?
And sorry for my Englsih, I am not good at it.

I suspect the 2X TC you link to will work as I'm not aware of any that have not but I doubt anyone has tested that particular one with the MPE-65.
