Tell me this is not cool . An easy way to make the MP-E act as if it was a reg. macro lens yet will go past 3 to1. If you don't need the infinity aspect of this modification, you simple take it off.

Would you mind uploading a fullsize image or RAW file to megaupload.com? It would be interesting to see what detail you get from this setup.

Also is the teleconverter reverse mounted on the front? It looks like that's the case to me.

Looking good Tom - see you are using the TC reversed - is it best that way round ? - I was using mine the other way round., Just did some more quick tests - think it does seem optically better mounted the wrong way round but the method of mounting the lens seems fairly critical as the abilty to get near infinity focus is rather dependent on the spacing distance between the TC and the front of the MPE-65. Some test shots and 100% crops with the TC reversed on the front of the MPE-65 below.
