Nate, you have been shooting so much film for a long time, and now the M9. How do you find it?
I prefer film; although the M9 is cheaper and has a few nice bonuses when compared with film. I also shot about 20 rolls of Velvia on this trip as well through my M3, but they're not back yet.

d.topp, lovely. The conversions are superb!

So I came home from Barcelona yesterday. I can tell you one thing, it was pretty damn hot. Can't recommend anyone to visit Barca in August. Not only is many stores closed but mainly due to the heat. However, it's a pretty cool city I could definitely go back, just not in August

Shot way more than I thought I would. 5 rolls of film which I will send for processing tomorrow, but also approx 600 frames with the 5D.

Joe, marvellous shot in Maine! 28 cron FTW - makes me wanna pack my elmarit up and ebay it!

Ron, the flare shots are superb and so are the others in the previous series. Very 3D!

Have not taken that much lately as 3 of my lenses are in the shop for repairs/servicing and my M9 is in Solns as well (still not back). Thankfully I managed to loan an M9 from a friend for a few weeks. Here are some of my recent shots:

I only have my 28 Elmarit (all the above were taken with it) and my 50 Cron LTM with me, so there's a lot to be said about keeping a large-ish inventory of lenses what with their QC problems of late!

That is why I use aperture, although it occasionally goes nuts on reds, but I'm overall very happy with it.

Nate - agreed, your images have wonderful colour.
Dierk - very nice with the fog. #1 and 3 are my favorites.
najibs - fun shots of the kids.
KL - great set! Nice to see some recent work from you. I love #4 (infinity pool) but also 3 & 5 are favorites.

joakim - glad it wasn't the camera! I've also noticed a few leaves changing here too. A few nights recently have also started to feel like early fall temperatures…
Luka - great set! The colours and geometry really work for me, especially the first and last.
Joe - looks like a very nice place! I'm definitely interested in your opinion about the 90 Summarit.

So these are from my short trip to the NYC area last Sunday/Monday. Starting off at Toronto airport, transferring to train at Newark Airport and arriving at the Meadowlands for a football game.

M9 & ZM35C and ZM21

Hanging out at the Air Canada US departures lounge - status does hove some perks

but I doubt I'll hit the gold threshold this year

though I believe one can buy lounge passes for about $35. Might have been worth it 10 years ago at the old, cramped Toronto terminals, but the new Terminal 1 is quite nice, which is true for many newer or renovated airports now. (ZM35C)

When taking a puddle jumper from Terminal 1, it's a really, really long walk to the gates. Left side is to departures, right side is the arrivals corridor for customs & immigration. Probably a 10 minute walk:
