Today’s journey took us from Guymon, OK to Santa Fe, NM. Once we left Guymon, we were on a single rural road for 180 miles during which time we only went through two small towns. The landscape was flat with only telephone poles lining the roadway for 180 miles. Then we hit fog. Only problem it was only 20 degrees and we could see frost on the trees. The fog got so bad for a time that we couldn’t see that far down the road. The good news is that there was hardly any cars around. It was surreal. Finally, the sun started to burn off the fog and as we crossed into New Mexico, the skies cleared to an incredible view of snow and ice on the trees. We stopped at this site because we needed to record the view.
