Thanks, Steven. Glad you appreciated the finer details.
I had to find the right spot where the trees cast a nice reflection on the hood and not have the sky 'white out' the entire hood, especially around the leaper.
No cropping done in post processing - image was only edited for levels and saturation.
Guess I should be grateful I have an understanding wife to drive the car back and forth some 50 times for me to get the 10 lousy shots that were actually in focus.
Took this at a nice quiet stretch of road with the grass and trees in the background, which I may add is not an easy task, considering how built up this island is.
There was a lady jogger who must have thought I was out of my mind. Curiosity got the better of her when she approached me and asked if the car was new (it isn't). "My, what a big lens you have" came next. Turns out that her husband owns a camera shop in town - you know, one of those with the gold Leicas and Nikons on display. I must say that they have a very effective display that draws people in. Maybe I should have asked her for a discount coupon, huh?
So there you have it. The car's in motion, the chrome cat that's sitting on the hood is leaping, the clown behind the lens is panning.
