I was looking at the image again and have been playing with a different edge treatment myself. I appreciate the honest opinions, thanks. I have replaced the pic with a different edge treatment.

I thought the oval was refreshingly different ... a little ?? but still sorta refreshing if you took the time to let it 'grow' on you.

The pp on the b/w is awesome, but I agree that there is something a little unsettling about the composition. It might grow on me. I'm all for unique perspectives though and this is one I would not have thought of.
