Great pic. Great moment capture. Is that a frying pan?

Technically, I'd prefer less DoF, especially on the top. Yes, the crowd would fade as well but in this particular pic I'm not sure it's necessary. You'll be able to sense it through the posture of the actress.

Thank you, but well, the actress actually is a boy. He had a great performance with jokes on a parent's evening.
Concerning the DOF: The ceiling is very low in this room and I was sitting right in front with a wide angle at f2.8. This is proof that I should get a 35L to solve that.
