Tasty photo John! Love the lighting and the composition, and I know you like to challenge the viewer, but I’m having trouble making the “connection.” I can see it if were the lobster alone - as in “Rock Lobster” but the other morsels are throwing me off!

Yeah, this is a bit of a stretch this time around. Haha. I half posted it because I worked hard on this one (though I'm still unsatisfied). I might swap it out. My original intention was to photograph the lobster alone. But, after two hours, I was exhausted, and a bit disgusted.

What's new?

The color and just the right amount of balance are great. I like the rocks; They lend a New England feel to the photo.

Thank you, HC. I certainly sought to achieve a Prince Edward Island vibe with this one.

Been there, done that ... I feel your pain.

Funny how nobody ever thinks about photography as having endurance or anguish involved. I mean, all you do is push a button ... right ??

Nonetheless ... nice work as usual.

I'm a little late on the comments. But.... this feels like 3 separate images to me...the lobster, the crab on net and the shrimp/crab combo. I love the rocks, colors, textures, lighting. But it seems like 3 different subjects.

However, the image does succeed in connecting me to my New England roots!

I hate the initial crop...

I'd have to agree with you. Regarless....the subject was great. Colors and textures, too. It's a great challenge to put all of that together. It still makes me excited about going home this summer!
