What has 2000 legs, is a foot long, and red all over? This family of millipedes!
Ok, I know, they don't actually have a thousand legs, but that is what the name means, and it really does look like they do! We were out on a family walk along the Patapsco River in Ellicott City, MD when we happened upon these two millipedes crossing the path. One of them wasn't too happy about me invading their space and curled up, but the other one kindly waited patiently for his lady to uncurl herself. This is my first weekly entry. I just got a Mark 5D II a couple of weeks ago, look forward to joining in on the discussion and welcome brutally honest critique!
