She is an adorable kid but I find the "cropping" on the left and bottom a bit too aggressive. Also, and it may be just me, a shot of a single person is hard for me to connect to the concept of "family".
Cute pic. I totally get the sense of family and celebrating the idea of family from this photo. Especially because your subject is a toddler, and their entire world is centered around family at that age.
This photo seems natural, and impromptu. For me, that's the magic of it. However, the exposure on the shoes detract a bit from the rest of the scene. I know this would be difficult to capture again, on the fly.
Yakim -- I hear you on the bottom left, but the shot was taken very quickly with my new 135 and I'm still 'learning' that focal length.
John -- I tried to reduce the vignetting (that I applied in post because it looked better on that day but now does not...) and think it helps a little bit. I still get where you're coming from however.
She's a doll and I'm only sad that I don't get to photograph her more often.
