This is my first submission, and I decided to do something a little different. Instead of taking pictures of real flowers, I figured I would capture a flower whose beauty is often overlooked, and those are intricate flower engravings on the American money many of us take for granted. On the American Dime coin (10 cents), there sit two flowering branches -- an olive flower branch on the left, and an oak flower branch on the right. (I decided to focus on the olive flower). A torch sits in the middle, under which read "E Pluribus Unim," Latin for 'Out of Many, One.' I took this picture this afternoon (since I don't have a studio -- I'm just a beginner -- this coin is sitting on my gray sandal). I hope you like it!
